Photo Essay from Paul Fusco of Magnum – Chernobyl

15 Nov

I am slowly going though the Magnum Photographers Magnum In Motion Series of photo essays. Tonight I selected Paul Fusco’s essay entitled Chernobyl and I sat silently watching it tonight. I have never never been so moved by such a collection of images and thoughts. The images are very vivid and may upset people- in fact I would say they will upset people- which is what it was designed to do.

Lets hope there are no more Chernobyls in the world and in our little corner of the world, let’s be grateful we don’t have to go through such horrors.

I saw this presentation several years ago. It broke my heart.

I agree with you JR. I don’t think I have seen a set of images that moved me so much. Sigh!
